Stockport Town welcome AFC Blackpool to Stockport Sports Village on Saturday afternoon in a Hallmark Security League clash.
The Lions, led by Calum Sykes, have suffered consecutive heavy defeats to both Whitchurch Alport and Litherland Remyca respectively, conceding five goals in both games. Sykes and his team will be looking to bounce back as they return to Lambeth Grove.
Blackpool meanwhile, a brand new club in the NWCFL this season, arrive at SSV for the very first time just one point behind Town having also had a tough start to the new season. Blackpool have won just one game so far this season having lost four game sin all competitions.
Stockport, currently 18th after six matches, will be hoping to improve on recent results and regain their winning ways at home following victories over Carlisle City and Prestwich hey earlier in the season.
An away win for Blackpool could see them rise five places up to 15th position in Division One, given other results go their way, meanwhile Town could rise above Bacup Borough with victory on Saturday afternoon with other results in their favour.
Both sides will be looking to put their defensive woes to an end with Blackpool and Stockport having conceded 14 and 20 league goals respectively already in this campaign.
Saturday’s visitors have hit the back of the net just seven times this season, whereas Town have struck 15 times already, 10 of those coming at Lambeth Grove in just four matches.
All the action at Stockport Sports Village gets underway at 3pm.
