Stockport Town welcome Daisy Hill to Stockport Sports Village this Saturday afternoon in a Hallmark Security League clash.
The home side returned to winning ways on Tuesday evening with a deserved 3-2 win over a struggling Atherton LR side, and now host their second home match in five days.
Daisy Hill come into this fixture on the back of consecutive defeats, firstly at home to Carlisle City and then away to Litherland Remyca on Wednesday evening. Despite those losses Hill have still managed to score 13 goals in their last four matches and Town will be well aware of their attacking threat, Ashley Stott.
Stott has scored eight of those 13 goals and bagged himself a brace in the 3-2 defeat on Merseyside in midweek. The striker will be hoping to continue his form and get Daisy Hill back to winning ways.
Calum Sykes’ Lions kept there nerve on Tuesday evening after going level with Atherton twice before a James Hampson winner saw them secure three points for the first time since mid-October.
Nathan Neequaye remains Stockport’s top goalscorer this season but right-back Kiarno Samms bagged his second brace of the season on Tuesday and will be hoping to contribute once again to see his side win consecutive matches and climb back up the table.
Another home victory for Sykes’ team could see them rise up the league table once again and they could find themselves jumping up three places, above Daisy Hill, to 9th place. Meanwhile an away win for the visitors would see them rise up to 9th, just six points off the playoff places.
All the action gets underway at Lambeth Grove on Saturday afternoon, kick-off 3pm.
