Upon his appointment Davies said "I am delighted to be named the new manager of the reserve team at Stockport Town. The club has fantastic facilities and I've been really impressed with the commitment and enthusiasm of the board and management team. They really want to take this club to the next level and I want to be a part of it."
Davies continued, "The relationship I have with Dave Wild is fantastic. He has complete faith in me to improve the squad and make sure they are pushing the first team very closely. 2017/18 is an incredibly important season for the club, and the reserve players will play a part."
"The club reflects the values and ambitions I have as a manager. I'm very much looking forward to starting pre-season and working with the players. The hard work has already started."
