Stockport Town FC are delighted to announce Donna Seaton as the club’s new Commercial Manager.
Donna takes on the role with immediate effect and will oversee the responsibilities of attracting investment into the club by way of sponsorship and general fundraising activities, including advertisement on the website and at the club’s stadium.
Speaking with Donna, she is very excited to get underway as a new season approaches just as the 2016/17 season has come to a close.
Donna said: “I'm so honoured to have been asked to be the Commercial Manager for Stockport Town and I'm sure it's a role I'm going to relish. I can't wait to get started and it's great to be part of such a vibrant team of staff.
“There is a real sense of passion and drive around the club, it's exciting to think what we can achieve.”
There is a close relation for Donna and Stockport Town already as manager Dave Wild is Donna’s brother, and Donna added how proud she is of his work: “I first got involved with football through my brother, manager Dave Wild. I've previously worked as his Club Secretary and tend to be his general PA in most areas of life!
“There are no words to describe how proud I am of what he has achieved so far, he inspires me every day, to dream bigger and believe in myself, a motto he has firmly put in place at the club. I love watching the team play and all the excitement and anticipation of a match day.”
As the 2016/17 campaign comes to an end for Stockport Town preparations are already underway in the build up to next season and Donna already has her ideas on what she can bring to the club.
She said: “My plans for the club are specifically to develop and maintain a network of support. My aim is to fully integrate Stockport Town into the local community, supporting local charities and businesses and in return creating corporate sponsorship opportunities for the club.
I am particularly looking forward to improving and developing our range of merchandise too, and I'm hoping a Club Shop will soon be up and running.
Away from Stockport Town still keeps a keen interest in football and has even traveled the world to visit some of the most spectacular football grounds: “Away from football I work full time in Pharmacy and love to travel as much as possible! I've had the privilege of visiting some amazing football stadiums including the Maracanã in Brazil and Boca Juniors’ ground in Argentina, La Bombonera, so I'm setting my sights for Stockport Town high!”
