Andy Welsh and his NWCFL 1st Division North Champions are now the first team to visit SSV in July. The fixture will be played on 2nd July, with kick off being 3pm. Another brilliant game for The Lions and what is sure to be a great attendance, with an expected healthy away following. Admission details will be announced in due course.

We are excited to announce that we have arranged another Friendly, with Runcorn Linnets. The Linnets will visit Stockport Sports Village on Saturday 16th July, with Kick Off being 3pm. It proves to be another good test for The Lions with Runcorn Linnets competing in the Northern Premier League Division One West. Admission details will be announced in due course.

Defender Jamie Wrench has committed to The Lions for the forthcoming North West Counties First Division South campaign. * The former Crewe Alexandra academy player made 31 Appearances for Town last season, scoring 2 Goals and picking up 3 Man of The Match awards. Having finished the 21/22 season off in style, Manager Paul Turnbull and his staff have moved quickly to retain the services of pacer winger Toby Green. Toby featured 17 times for Town last season, scoring 7 times, including 1 in a fantastic performance in Douglas against FC Isle of Man. He also picked up 3 Man of Match awards.
