We await clarification from The FA to ascertain whether our application for the FA cup has been successful and if so the extra preliminary round will be played on Saturday 6th August. Towering Centre Half Tom Morris has agreed to join the club and is another excellent addition to Manager Paul Turnbull's squad. Tom has been confirmed as the clubs new Captain and will lead the Lions in the 2022/23 season. Prolific goalscorer Foley has signed for Paul Turnbull's Lions, as he looks to continue to build a strong squad in the build up to Pre Season training starting at the end of June. Foley played 47 times for fellow NWCFL 1st Division South side, Cheadle Heath Nomads, scoring a magnificent 27 goals last season. Young Full Back Kai Johnston has been retained for a further season, in what promises to be a strong North West Counties 1st Division South campaign. Kai made 32 appearances in all competitions for Town last season scoring 2 goals. Manager Paul Turnbull has pulled of another coup by getting the signature of in demand attacking Goalscorer, Will Shawcross from near neighbors and 21/22 play off competitors Wythenshawe Amateurs FC. Shawcross who started off the season at Cheadle Heath Nomads before moving over to Wythensawe Amateurs in November, scored 22 goals in 47 appearance in the 21/22 NWCFL 1st Division South, whilst also picking up a magnificent 10 Man of the Match awards.
