After careful consideration of Stockport Town FC’s long-term future and its ability to compete at Step
5 of the National League System, the Board has taken the difficult decision to resign from the North West Counties Football League for the 2026/27 season.
The Board would like to thank all staff, players, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who has
represented the club since its inception in 2014 for their contribution, dedication, and support over
the years.
Further details regarding future plans will be announced in due course.
