Stockport Town are looking to progress through in the Macron Cup as Town welcome Droylsden to Stockport Sports Village tonight
The Lions are looking to make it to round 3 of the Macron Cup on Monday 18th but are also hoping to get back to winning ways after defeat to Abbey Hey on Saturday 16th which ended 4-1. Tomorrow, Town welcome The Bloods to Stockport Sports Village.
Last time the two sides met was in the North West Counties First Division South Play Off Semi Final, with a Dan McLaughlin goal sealing the victory for The Lions.
Saturdays 4-1 loss at the Abbey Stadium was a disappointing outcome for Town, and The Lions will be looking to bounce back, with a strong performance to progress into the next round of the NWCFL Macron Cup
The Opponents:
Droylsden currently participate in the NWCFL First Division North. This season, the Bloods currently sit third in the table and in the playoffs, they sit three points behind second place side Nelson.
Droylsden won their most recent match in the First Division North beating Maghull 1-0 at home.
