ELSTONE RETAINED FOR 2022/23

The Lions are delighted to announce our second signing for the 2022/23 season. We have mutually agreed to retain the services of Striker Mike Elstone, keeping him at SSV for another season.

Elstone played 19 times for Town in the 21/22 North West Counties First Division South season scoring 8 goals in all competitions and picking up 2 Man of the Match awards as well.

Paul Turnbull, Stockport Town FC Manager said on the news" We are really pleased to agree to retain the services of Mike for another season, Mike has great talent and has shown this on numerous occasions, scoring some important Goals for us in the 21/22 season. I am sure with a full pre season Mike can show his full potential and really push us on in the new season "

Mike Elstone spoke of his excitement having extended his stay at Town "I am excited to stay at Town for the new season, the project and ambition the club have really excites me and I am looking forward to hopefully a successful 2022/23 season. "
