Stockport Town are looking to get back to winning ways against Longridge Town on Saturday
On Saturday, The Lions will be looking to get back to winning ways as they travel to Inglewhite Road to play Longridge Town, who will be looking to end their five match winless streak.
Last time out for Town, they saw a loss on the road against playoff chasers West Didsbury & Chorlton in an intense fixture. Heading into that game Town were looking to close the gap between them and the playoffs but two goals from West Didsbury and a missed penalty for Town saw their hopes of winning the game dissapear.
Town’s loss on the road dropped them down to 10th in the table but still seven points behind the playoff spots.
This fixture for The Lions and The Ridge will be the teams first match against each other this season but only in an months’ time to start the New Year off they will play again on 4th January 2025 at Stockport Sports Village.

The Ridge are currently on a five match winless streak having lost against the sides of South Liverpool, Bury, Glossop North End, Cheadle Town and narrowly drawing against Barnoldswick 3-3. The Ridge currently has the worst defence in the league as they have conceded 65 goals in 25 matches, their worst defeat this season has come to the hands of Bury, who beat them 8-0 at Inglewhite Road.
