Stockport Town Welcome fellow playoff chasers Irlam FC to Stockport Sports Village for Monday evenings North West Counties Football League Premier Division Fixture.
The Lions are looking to extend their winning streak to three wins in a row but need to beat seventh placed Irlam at SSV in Tonight’s fixture.
Last time out for Town it was another dominate display for them as they beat South Liverpool 2-1 away from home to take them up to ninth place.
A goalless first half was followed up by a Callum Gardner penalty and a Harley Monaghan goal made it 2-0 but a late red card for Kai Johnston saw South Liverpool score to make it 2-1 in the closing stages
Tonights match was originally set to be played on Saturday 11th January but due to heavy snow and ice, it was postponed.
The last time The Lions and Irlam played each other was on the 27th of July, this match kicked off the season for the teams and the match ended in a 2-1 win for Town. Opening The Lions NWCFL Premier Division campaign with 3 points
