Stockport Town welcome Playoff side Padiham FC to Stockport Sports Village for the last game of the regular season of the North West Counties Football League Premier Division
The Lions look to end the season on a High as they play already confirmed playoff side Padiham at SK6 for the last time this season.
Last time out for Town, it was a draw1-1 against fellow midtable side Charnock Richard. The game's first goal came from Darren Ehimamiegho, but eventually in the second half, Charnock Richard’s Shay Stanfield got the equaliser.
The last time The Lions and The Storkes played each other, Padiham won 3-1, with goals from Jack Price, Bradley Knox, Joshua Briggs, and Towns' only goal scorer was Josh Edwards.
Padiham FC confirmed their playoff places after a 3-1 win at home over now-relegated Squires Gate FC. Joel Brownhill, Joel Melia, and Rio Wilson-Heyes scored the goals.
The Opponents:
Padiham FC are currently in their eighth season in the NWCFL Premier Division after being relegated back to the division in the 2015/2016 season. To end the regular season, The Storkes sit in fourth place and will participate in the North West Counties Premier Division Playoffs.
The Storkes are currently on a form of three wins and two losses, with the wins coming against Burscough, Squires Gate, and Abbey Hey. Their most recent match saw Padiham lose 2-1 against South Liverpool.
