Match Preview: Pilkington FC vs Stockport Town

Stockport Town return to action on Wednesday evening as they travel to face Pilkington FC in the NWCFL Premier Division.

The Lions head into the fixture on the back of Saturday’s hard-fought 1–0 victory over Litherland Reymca FC, a result which lifted them into fifth place and extended their positive start to the campaign. With momentum on their side, Town will be looking to build on that performance and continue climbing the table.

Pilkington are expected to provide a tough challenge on their own ground, and Stockport know they will need to be at their best to secure a result. However, confidence is high within the squad, and the team are looking forward to another important test as they continue to establish themselves in the division.

Last season, Stockport enjoyed success in both meetings with Pilkington, winning 3–0 away and 2–1 at home. While past results provide encouragement, the Lions will be fully focused on producing another strong performance this time around.
